The Magic of Word-of-Mouth ✨

At Just 4 Kids Performing Arts, one of the loveliest compliments we can receive doesn't come in the form of an award or a certificate.
It's hearing:
“My friend recommended you.”
So many children discover J4K because another parent has told their friend about us, siblings have joined after watching their brother or sister, or children have gone home from class excitedly telling their friends that they should come too.
And for a small, local children's business like ours, that genuinely means the world. ❤️
Why word of mouth means so much
Choosing an activity for your child can feel like quite a big decision.
A website can tell you what happens in a class. Photos can show children having fun. We can tell you all about our singing, dancing, drama and end-of-term performances.
But there's something very different about another parent saying:
“My child loves it there.”
Parents trust other parents.
They want to know that their child will be welcomed, that the people teaching them genuinely care, that they'll be encouraged without being pressured and — perhaps most importantly — that they'll actually look forward to going each week!
So when one of our families recommends J4K to somebody they know, we never take that for granted.
Sometimes one child brings another… 🌟
One of my favourite things is seeing how the J4K community grows naturally.
A child joins us.
They start talking about class at school.
They tell their best friend about the ridiculous game we played that week or the character they're playing in the show.
Their friend decides they'd like to try it too.
Suddenly they're both arriving at J4K together.
And then that child makes another friend in the class.
It's lovely to watch.
But we also know that walking into a new activity where you don't know anybody can be daunting. That's why we work hard to make sure children joining by themselves feel just as welcome as those arriving with three school friends in tow!
Parents notice the little changes too 💛
Often, the things parents tell us about aren't actually about singing, dancing or acting.
They tell us their child has become more confident.
That they've made new friends.
That they wouldn't have dreamed of standing on stage a few months ago.
That they're suddenly putting their hand up at school.
Or simply:
“It's their favourite activity of the week.”
Those comments mean an enormous amount because they're exactly why J4K exists.
Of course we want children to develop their performing arts skills.
But we also want them to leave our classes developing confidence, creativity, communication, teamwork and a sense of belonging.
Your recommendations help our little community grow 🌱
J4K started in 2023 with just two classes and 14 children.
Today, we have seven weekly classes and more than 100 children joining us across Truro, Falmouth and Grampound.
And so much of that growth has happened because families have talked about us.
A recommendation in the playground.
A message in a parents' WhatsApp group.
Sharing one of our posts.
Telling a neighbour.
Bringing a friend along.
Leaving us a lovely review.
All of those seemingly little things have helped more families discover J4K.
And behind every new booking is another child we get the opportunity to welcome into our community.
